The unexpected lockdowns, bankrupt companies, dismissed employees, the constant rise in prices including food, and as a result, a family of 4 who cannot even feed their children.
The Covid-19 public health crisis has made it clear that the distribution of emergency food during a pandemic is vital in order to save people from the side effects that are not always taken into consideration. That’s why we created BRCDC Food Program as a part of the Pandemic Food Reserve Emergency Distribution Program (P-FRED) which began in response to this crisis.
Each week our volunteers distribute fresh food to hundreds of families within our community, and maintaining and increasing this number depends solely on your help.

Bay Ridge’s Response
We firmly believe that no one deserves to go a day without food. In response to this crisis, we have dedicated ourselves to providing necessary aid to the families of NYC.
So far, BRCDC volunteers have distributed over 5,000 hot meals, 1,000 food boxes, 250+ turkeys, and over 10,000 meal packs in partnership with Islamic Relief USA. Additionally, in partnership with TASC, we were able to distribute 350 food boxes with the help of TASC members and our volunteers. Every weekend, we provide fresh produce and non-perishable groceries to hundreds of families in Bay Ridge. We will always continue to service the community and look forward to supporting more families as a part of our program, and we can only keep saving these lives together with you.
