Bay Ridge Community Development Center has partnered with health organizations around New York City to provide high-quality free health services, and to promote overall well-being through educational health workshops, screenings, and activities to immigrant communities in South Brooklyn.

Hearing Screening Services

BRCDC in partnership with several NYC health organizations and hospitals have offered safe and free heart and hearing screenings. Together with NYU Langone Health, BRCDC will provide a new program for low-income immigrant families tests bringing ENT care to patients.

Hearing Loss Screening Program

BRCDC and NYU Langone Health has partnered to develop a new program for low-income immigrant families in the community to educate parents on hearing loss in their children “and will connect children with treatment to reduce adverse outcomes. If a family lacks insurance for their child, the program will help them to enroll in free state services,” Community-based Outreach: Changing the Model for Hearing Loss Screening. BRCDC & NYU LANGONE HEALTH HEARING LOSS SCREENING

BRCDC and NYU Langone Health held an information session and hearing loss screening at the BRCDC office as a part of our new Hearing Loss Screening Program. News 12 Brooklyn joined us to capture our new program for ages 0-6.

NYC Hearing Screening Program

BRCDC joins NYU Langone, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, and the Catholic Academy in Brooklyn to provide hearing screenings for NYC immigrant children.

COVID-19 Health Services

Throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic, BRCDC partnered with several NYC health organizations to provide free COVID-19 PCR/Rapid testing, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and free vaccinations at our center.


Free COVID-19 Testing

Bay Ridge Community Development Center and Prestige Mobile Health has partnered during the COVID-19 Pandemic to offer the community free COVID-19 PCR and Rapid testing through safe and convenient measures to ensure our community’s well-being.


COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic

BRCDC and Islamic Society of Bay Ridge in partnership with NYC Health & Hospitals Test + Trace Corps scheduled free vaccinations at the BRCDC community center for all community members in want of the COVID-19 Vaccine.


Free PPE Distribution

At our office and community center, BRCDC staff has distributed Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to our community to promote safe health practices throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We have also partnered with our local politicians; for example, State Senator Gounardes, in which we handed out nearly 700 At-Home COVID-19 test kits donated by Digital Gadgets.


Bay Ridge Community Development Center partnered with NYC hospitals and health organizations to offer free educational workshops on ways our community can maintain safe health habits that contribute to their overall physical, emotional and social well-being.

Safe At Home Workshop

In partnership with NYC Maimonides Medical Center, BRCDC is grateful to Gia Ramsey and her team who led the Safe at Home program at BRCDC’s Summer Campish. Our campers learned how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers at home.

Mental Health Workshop

Bay Ridge Community Development Center’s Mental Health Counselor, Abir Saleh, conducted a workshop on stress and anxiety, the effects and safety measures that will ensure our community members are practicing healthy ways to maintain their emotional well-being.
